Melbourne Chorale is always looking for new members. Auditions are held throughout the year. We know auditions can be terrifying and you can be sure we will do our very best to make you feel comfortable. The audition will take about 10 minutes and runs as follows: * Sing an accompanied aria/lieder/song of your choice * Scales to establish the range of your voice; * Ear tests eg sing 4 notes as played by the painist; sing as asked one of the notes in a chord of 3 notes; * Set Pieces - 2 short, unaccompanied excerpts; * Sight-reading - always the scariest part but don’t panic! The vast majority say they are hopeless at it and sail through!
